Kiln Dried Sand is a dry and fine sand that can be used straight from the bag and brushed into paving joints. The purpose of this is to prevent movement in the paving, but also still allows drainage.
How much kiln dried sand for block paving?
15-30 square meters of paving will require 1 x20-25 bag of kiln dried sand as a rough guide. Although this will vary depending upon the size (width & depth) of the paving joints.
How much kiln dried sand for artificial grass?
A common question often asked is How many bags of kiln sand do I need for artificial grass? As a rough guide, one square metre of artificial grass will require 4kg of sand.
Can you make mortar with kiln dried sand?
Builders sand is a better option for applications such as bricklaying due to that fact that kiln dry sand is too fine for bricklayers.
Does kiln dried sand go hard?
Although kiln dried sand will compact when it is wet, it will not go hard on it's own without any additional products such as sealing.
