Ornamental Bark for Beds, Borders and Landscaping

Ornamental bark provides a natural finish for beds, borders, informal paths and commercial landscaping. Applied at a suitable depth, it helps cover bare soil, reduce light reaching weed seedlings and slow surface moisture loss.

Remove established weeds before spreading. A permeable membrane may be suitable in some decorative areas, although openings should be left around plants. Spread the bark evenly and keep it clear of stems, trunks, drains and air bricks.

Bark is a natural product, so colour, texture and particle size vary and the material will weather after installation. Periodic raking and topping up will help maintain an even finish.
